WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH DAY USE AREA

RULES AND REGULATIONS

· The recreation area is open daily from 9:00 am. Closing time is dusk and will be posted daily. Daily fees will charged until 7:00 pm. A fine of $15 will be charged for opening the gate after closing. Readmission will be denied until the fine is paid in full.

Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult (defined as a person 18 years of age or older)

· There is no lifeguard on duty; swim at your own risk.

· No littering. Carry out all trash, including cigarette butts. Garbage bags are provided.

· No throwing of rice or confetti or water balloons

· No pets allowed.

· No overnight camping.

· No firearms or fireworks.

· No alcohol on the beach or at the pines picnic area.

· No glass containers.

· No nudity.

· No smoking on the left side of the beach (as viewed facing the water).

· No open or wood fires.

· Fishing permitted away from designated swimming areas only.

· Cook only on grills provided or on gas grills.

· Disruptive behavior or profanity will not be tolerated on the premises. The District reserves the right to bar unruly persons from the recreation area and/or issue no trespass orders.
