Do I need a reservation for a picnic? Paying regular day use fee gives you free access to single tables and small standing grills in The Pines Picnic Area, first come first served. A picnic table in The Pines may be reserved, however, as described below. For larger (10-150 people) group events, reserving our Overlook, Westside, or Large Shelter sites is recommended. We also offer pre-arranged discount group rates for general admission for schools/youth groups/camps/social service programs planning a visit, with or without a shelter rental. Email for info about the best deal to meet your needs.
Planning a ceremony?? Consider the Beach itself with the backdrop of beautiful water for your special moment! We will rope off a designated section of the sandy beach for you for vows or other celebrations/honorings. Available as a stand-alone, or added on to a shelter rental. Please inquire.

*Rain/Alternative Dates:
1) If regular foul weather interferes with the pleasure of your event: Reach out to us by email no sooner than 24 hours before your reservation date. We are happy to rebook, space available, at no additional cost to you. Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund for cancellations if the park will be open despite the weather.
2) If catastrophic weather leads to closure of the park on the day of your event: Reach out to us by email and we will make every effort to problem-solve and rebook you at no additional cost. If that is not possible, we can issue a refund if you request it.
3) The Peace of Mind Rain/Alternative Date Security Package: You may reserve a specific rain/alternative date in advance when you make your reservation, based on availability, for a simple added fee of $50 for the Large Shelter, or $20/$25 for the Overlook. Should your original date need to be rescheduled for any reason, or rained out, your rain/alternative date is locked in as your default, with no additional charge for use. If your original event date is successful, the rain date/alternative reservation is immediately released. The Rain Date Security Package is non-refundable, unless unforeseen beach closure prevents either of your dates from occurring, and you request a refund.
