We are currently accepting applications for great Park Attendants. Additional hours are available for an attendant who enjoys light clerical work to produce and deliver season passes.
If you enjoy being outdoors and interacting with people in a beautiful recreational setting, we would love to hear from you!  Our team is upbeat and friendly, and includes people of all ages with varying talents and interests. Position:
​Booth Attendants

Part-time / Seasonal
Booth Attendants will work under general supervision of the park manager. Hours will be based on the Park’s operating schedule, and we are open 7 days per week. A variety of shifts exist. Schedules typically include both weekend and weekday work; varied shifts could be early morning, mid day or evening.  The Job will be from approximately May 22nd through Labor Day or Columbus Day. Applicants may start after school year ends, but training shifts are expected prior. There is real need for people who can work on weekends and evenings starting Memorial Day Weekend, and preference will be given to those who can offer hours then. Will train.

Special Clerical Assistant
Part-time/Seasonal
This is an enhanced role for a trained Booth Attendant interested in a side task to hand-produce season passes. Requires strong attention to detail, high degree of organization, accurate handling of data,  handwriting, alphabetizing. Will train.
                                               
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• _Friendly, outgoing, reliable and punctual
• _Professional appearance and attitude at all times
• _Knowledge of basic math; ability to handle money with accuracy;  ability to use Internet-based Point of Sales Application on an electronic tablet
• _Requires good oral communications; capacity to understand and follow oral and written orders independently
• _Ability to provide a great customer experience; answer customer inquiries; handle high volume periods; and to stay busy and alert during slow periods
• _Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and customers
 _Some lifting of boats and equipment required
                                
Duties and Responsibilities:
• _ Park Entrance Daily. Attendants are responsible for opening and/or closing the Park’s front gate when scheduled to do so; assisting customers; selling season passes; collection of day use fees
• _ Rentals Daily. Attendants are responsible for renting of boats & assisting with proper fitting of PFD’s; rental of Disc Golf  discs; moving and secure storage of boats and other equipment as directed.
• _ Retail Sales; Attendants are responsible for retail sales of snacks and protection of inventory.
• _Park Grounds Daily. Attendants are responsible for regular goose poop pick up;  emptying charcoal grills; cleaning of picnic tables; prep of picnic shelters for rentals; trash pick up where needed; and other light duties as assigned
•  Park Bathrooms Daily. Attendants are responsible for the periodic removal of trash; sweeping & mopping; seat cleaning/sanitizing; replacement of toilet paper.
•    Park Grounds Occasional. Duties could include painting of picnic tables; organizing supplies and equipment, manual trail raking, light gardening, lopping, debris clean-up, other duties as assigned. Employees 19 years or older may be eligible to use tractor to rake the beach or mow lawn.  
                           
Requirements
 _Must be 15 years of age or older
 _Applicants under 18 must be able to provide written permission from a parent or legal guardian
_Applicants 18 years or older may be subject to a criminal background check
_Reliable transportation to get to and from beach for shifts as assigned
 
Starting Pay Minimum wage, may be higher based on experience. Exemplary performance reviews may warrant pay increase during the season. Annual raise for returning staff.
